What if you could step away from the noise for a week, slow things right down and give yourself permission to simply be?
The Cambodia Wellness Retreat is a seven-day wellness and cultural reset in Siem Reap, designed for women who want more than just a holiday. Staying at beautiful Angkor Grace Residence & Wellness, we’ll combine gentle yoga, meditation, sound healing, spa time and plenty of space to rest with some of Cambodia’s most memorable experiences. Explore the temples of Angkor at a slower pace, take part in a walking meditation along the ancient walls of Angkor Thom, cook with a local Cambodian family, receive a traditional monk blessing and discover social enterprises making a genuine difference in their communities.
We’ve created space in the itinerary for afternoons by the pool, massages, reading, journalling and doing absolutely nothing at all. There’ll even be a dedicated digital detox day — a chance to put the phone away, switch off from everyday life and reconnect with yourself and the women around you.
Come home having experienced the magic of Siem Reap, but also feeling rested, restored and perhaps just a little more connected to what matters.

Welcome to Siem Reap
Welcome to Cambodia and the beginning of a week designed to help you slow down, switch off and enjoy having a little more space in your days.
On arrival in Siem Reap, you’ll be met and transferred to Angkor Grace Residence & Wellness, our beautiful home for the next six nights. Settle into your room, explore the tropical grounds, take a dip in the pool or simply put your feet up — there’s nowhere else you need to be this afternoon.
Later, ease into retreat mode with a 60-minute oil or traditional Khmer massage at the hotel. A pretty lovely way to start a holiday!
This evening we’ll come together for our welcome dinner at SPOONS, a social enterprise restaurant providing hospitality training and opportunities for disadvantaged young Cambodians. Great food, good company and a wonderful introduction to the more meaningful side of Siem Reap.
Accommodation: Angkor Grace Residence & Wellness
Meals included: Dinner
Transport: Airport transfer
Wellness: 60-minute oil or traditional Khmer massage
Activities included: Welcome dinner at SPOONS social enterprise restaurant
Today we’ll experience Angkor a little differently — slowly, mindfully and with plenty of time to take it all in.
After breakfast, we’ll travel by open-air remork (Cambodian tuk-tuk), driven by local female drivers, to the ancient city of Angkor Thom.
Here we’ll take part in a beautiful Pradakshina walking meditation, traditionally practised around sacred spaces. Accompanied by a wellness instructor, we’ll walk slowly and largely in silence for around 3km along the ancient walls of Angkor Thom, surrounded by forest. Rather than rushing from one monument to another, this is our chance to stop, breathe and experience the spiritual side of Angkor.
We’ll then explore the magnificent Bayon Temple, famous for the enormous serene faces carved into its towers, before heading to Sala Bai Hotel School for lunch. Sala Bai provides free hospitality training to disadvantaged Cambodian young people, so simply by eating here we’re supporting another wonderful local initiative.
And after a morning of walking? Your feet get some attention too! We’ll enjoy a 60-minute foot reflexology treatment at Bodia Spa before returning to Angkor Grace.
Later in the afternoon, settle in for an hour-long crystal sound healing session. Lie back, close your eyes and let the sounds and vibrations of the singing bowls do their thing.
Dinner tonight is free for you to choose — head out with some of the group or enjoy a quiet evening at the resort.
Accommodation: Angkor Grace Residence & Wellness
Meals included: Breakfast & lunch
Transport: Female-driven remork/tuk-tuk touring
Wellness: 90-minute guided walking meditation, 60-minute foot reflexology & 60-minute sound healing
Activities included: Angkor Thom, Bayon Temple, Sala Bai Hotel School & 3-day Angkor temple pass
There are some mornings worth getting out of bed early for — and watching the sun rise behind the towers of Angkor Wat is one of them.
We’ll arrive while it’s still dark and find our spot as the first light appears over Cambodia’s most iconic temple. With fresh fruit and coffee to keep us going, we’ll then explore Angkor Wat in the cooler, quieter morning hours.
Afterwards, it’s back to Angkor Grace for a proper breakfast… and then we slow right down.
The middle of the day has deliberately been left free. Sleep. Swim. Read by the pool. Book yourself another spa treatment. Have a long lunch. Or do absolutely nothing at all. This is a retreat, after all.
Later in the afternoon we’ll come together again for a private one-hour yoga session, gently stretching the body and calming the mind.
Tonight we’ll head out for dinner at Maom, a lovely local restaurant set in a traditional house and garden, with a focus on fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
Accommodation: Angkor Grace Residence & Wellness
Meals included: Breakfast & dinner
Transport: Private transport for Angkor Wat touring & dinner
Wellness: Private 60-minute yoga session
Activities included: Angkor Wat sunrise, guided temple visit, morning fruit & coffee & dinner at Maom
Today we leave the temples behind and spend time experiencing a more personal side of Cambodia.
You can begin the morning with an optional complimentary yoga session at Angkor Grace before breakfast.
We’ll then head into the countryside to spend time with a local Cambodian family. First, we’ll visit a local market to choose fresh herbs, vegetables and ingredients before joining our hosts at their traditional wooden home to prepare a selection of Cambodian dishes together.
But this experience goes well beyond a cooking class.
We’ll accompany our hosts to a local pagoda, taking some of the food we’ve prepared as an offering. Here we’ll learn a little about Theravada Buddhism and the role it plays in everyday Cambodian life before meeting the monks and receiving a traditional sacred water blessing for good luck and prosperity.
Then it’s back to the family home to enjoy the lunch we’ve cooked together.
We’ll return to Angkor Grace with the afternoon free. Spend it by the pool, book a massage or wellness treatment, join another resort activity, or simply retreat to your room with a good book.
For those who would prefer a little more exploring, there is also the option to visit Artisans Angkor and the Angkor Silk Farm. Otherwise, you’re completely free to enjoy the resort.

Today is yours.
Start with an optional morning yoga session at Angkor Grace, linger over breakfast and then decide exactly what you feel like doing.
Perhaps that’s a massage or spa treatment. Maybe it’s several hours beside the pool with a book. You might want to journal, nap, enjoy a long lunch, explore Siem Reap independently — or simply embrace the luxury of having absolutely nowhere you need to be.
For anyone craving a little more adrenaline, there’s also the option to book an Angkor Zipline experience through the jungle canopy. Or don’t. That’s rather the point of today.
This evening we’ll regroup for something completely different — Phare, The Cambodian Circus.
This energetic performance combines acrobatics, theatre, music and storytelling while supporting an organisation that uses the arts to create education and opportunities for Cambodian children and young adults. It’s fun, creative, uplifting and a brilliant Siem Reap night out.
Accommodation: Angkor Grace Residence & Wellness
Meals included: Breakfast
Transport: Return transfer to Phare included
Wellness: Optional morning yoga; free day to enjoy Angkor Grace’s wellness facilities and spa treatments at your own expense

Our last full day in Siem Reap is a good one!
We’ll make an early start for Ta Prohm, when the temple is quieter and the morning is still relatively cool. Giant tree roots curl around centuries-old stone walls here, creating one of the most atmospheric and photogenic temples in the Angkor complex.
As we travel, we’ll also stop to taste a few local favourites, including Nom Banh Chok, Cambodia’s much-loved rice noodle dish, along with palm sugar and traditional Khmer treats from roadside vendors.
After some downtime, we’ll visit the incredible APOPO HeroRATs. These clever African giant pouched rats are trained to detect landmines and unexploded ordnance, helping to make land safe again for Cambodian communities. It’s fascinating, surprising and one of those experiences you’ll be talking about long after the trip is over.
Then we swap temples for the water.
We’ll board our private wooden boat on Tonlé Sap Lake and cruise past the floating villages as the afternoon light begins to soften. Settle in with Champagne and canapés as we watch the sun sink over the lake — a pretty special way to toast our final afternoon together.
Back on dry land, we’ll finish our week with a farewell dinner at HAVEN, a social enterprise restaurant set in a peaceful tropical garden. As well as serving delicious food, HAVEN provides hospitality training and career opportunities for disadvantaged Cambodian young people.
A beautiful meal, a meaningful cause and one last evening together.
Accommodation: Angkor Grace Residence & Wellness
Meals included: Breakfast & farewell dinner
Transport: Private transport & private wooden boat
Activities included: Ta Prohm Temple, local food tastings, APOPO HeroRATs, private Tonlé Sap sunset cruise with Champagne & canapés, farewell dinner at HAVEN
Until next time, Cambodia
There’s no need to rush out the door on our final morning.
Join an optional yoga session at Angkor Grace, enjoy breakfast and make the most of your final few hours at the resort. Perhaps there’s time for one last swim, a quiet coffee or simply a little more time to soak up that delicious feeling of having nowhere else to be.
When the time comes, we’ll transfer you to Siem Reap Airport for your flight home.
You’ll leave with plenty of memories of Cambodia — but hopefully also feeling rested, recharged and a little more connected to yourself after a week of doing things differently.
Accommodation: Check-out from Angkor Grace Residence & Wellness
Meals included: Breakfast
Transport: Airport transfer
Wellness: Optional morning yoga

Angkor Grace Residence & Wellness is more than simply somewhere to stay — it’s an important part of the retreat experience. Set in peaceful tropical surrounds just minutes from the temples of Angkor, it gives us a beautiful sanctuary to return to each day, with yoga, meditation, sound healing, spa treatments and dedicated wellness spaces all on site.
I’ve chosen Angkor Grace because it allows us to genuinely slow down. There’s no pressure to fill every day with sightseeing — you can spend an afternoon by the pool, book an extra treatment, join a wellness session or simply retreat to your room with a book. It’s the kind of place where having nowhere to be feels like part of the experience.

Siem Reap might not be the first place that comes to mind when you think of a wellness retreat, but I think it has so much going for it!
Beyond the extraordinary temples of Angkor, there’s a gentler, more reflective side to Siem Reap: quiet countryside, Buddhist traditions, beautiful food, warm local communities and some wonderful social enterprises. It gives us the opportunity to combine rest and wellness with the kind of meaningful cultural experiences I always want to include on a Pip & Co Travel trip.
Rather than escaping to a resort and barely leaving it, we’ll have the best of both worlds – time to switch off and restore, while still experiencing the people, culture and stories that make Cambodia such a special place.
Most women are in their 50s, 60s and 70s who chose to travel with Pip & Co Travel.
But any travellers who share a love of discovery, learning, adventure, fun and kindness are right for Pip & Co Travel trips!
This tour is suitable for travellers with an east level of fitness. Expect:
If there’s something you don’t feel like doing you can opt-out. Please contact Penny if you want to ask specific health and fitness questions. No question is silly!
The weather is warm and humid in July in Cambodia and it’s green season (rainy season).
The rains continue throughout July in Cambodia, although dry days are still common. Temperatures are gradually dropping, making the days more comfortable, with average temperatures around 27°C.
Most of our activities are planned for the morning, so the afternoons are free for you to relax, or cool down in the pool or at the beach.
Carrying a mix of cash and card is a good idea. You will have good access to ATMs, and be able to use your cards in restaurants/cafes and hotels while more local and rural areas may be cash-only. Riel is the local currency and the exchange rate is approximately AUD$1 = Riel 2,900.
USD is widely used in Cambodia as well.
We usually suggest the group has a tip kitty to take the hassle and uncertainty out of tipping. This will be for specialist guides and drivers.
You need to make a AUD $500 deposit to hold your spot.
The final balance of the trip is due 90 days before the start of the trip.
You can pay with a major credit card such as Visa or Mastercard or with a bank deposit. Payment plans can also be arranged.
All Pip & Co Travellers will need to purchase comprehensive travel insurance prior to the trip.
If you need help with this, please contact us.
Visa requirements vary depending on your nationality but Australian passport holders do need a visa for Cambodia.
Cambodia visas can be applied online before arrival or applied for on arrival and cost USD$30. We will send out reminders to apply for your visa before the trip departure.
International flights are not included in your tour. You should aim to book flights that align with the official tour start and end dates. Where possible, arrive the morning of or the night before the start date.
For this trip your arrival and departure airport is Siem Reap.
There are no direct flights from Australia to Cambodia, but there are many Asian hubs you can choose to transit through such as Ho Chi Minh City, Singapore, Bangkok or Kuala Lumpur.
You arrival and departure airport transfers are included.
